Is this the Real car from Back to the Future?
A: No, all of our Time Machine Rentals are replica cars made to look exactly like the car in the movie. Many of the car owners have spent a lot of time and money to make sure their cars match as closely to the real car from the movie. The actual “A” car from the movie currently resides in the Petersen Museum in L.A. A: GREAT question! We have over 70 cars from Los Angeles to NYC in the United States as well as England, Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Mexico, and more. Can I drive the car?
A: No, unfortunately, most owners’ insurance won’t cover anyone else driving their cars. Each Time Machine owner carries different levels of insurance and you can discuss your specific rental needs with them before booking.
Are all the cars Time Machines?
No, we have regular, non modified Deloreans, and also Time Machines. You can let us know which you’d prefer, but we specialize in Time Machines. But as said, we are happy to offer both!
How many people can fit in the Time Machine?
A: The Delorean only has 2 seats, so you plus the driver.
What are the dimensions of the car?
A: Width: 84 inches - Length: 180 inches - Height: 60 inches
Weight: 2,800 lbs. - Ground Clearance: 5.5 inches - Wheelbase 95 inches - Turning radius 35 feet
Do you have props and actors available also?
A: Yes, in many of the locations we have actors and props that can be rented separately for your event. In many cases, the Delorean will have a few props already in the car, free of charge for your event like a hoverboard, Nike Air Mag Shoes, and the Sports Almanac. As for Actors such as Marty McFly and Doc Brown, they are an additional charge.
I’m a Delorean owner and I’d love to add my car to your list of rentals, how do I go about doing that?
A: We are adding Deloreans daily, we have owners from coast to coast currently on our roster! Simply hit the contact button up top, shoot us an email, and we’d be happy to explain the process and get you added to the list.
I’m interested in buying a Delorean Time Machine, can you help?
A: Short answer is yes, we can help. There are several different ways you can go about purchasing one. There are people who build Delorean Time Machines for a living and would be happy to build you one. I would suggest you do your own research, but we can point you to a few builders that are reputable and will make you an amazing car. If you choose to build one yourself, there are groups on social media dedicated to helping others build a Time Machine. First, you will need a Delorean. We suggest buying one from Delorean Motor Company directly. As for turning the car into a Time Machine, email us directly and we can get you in touch with people that specialize in that.
